You are very welcome at Scout Campsite Bieslandse Bos. We are a scouting camping ground where everyone takes into account each other, nature and the environment. The way of camping of scouting is leading with us and that means:
Campers take other campers, our volunteers and local residents into account in everything they do.
The code of conduct of Scouting Nederland applies to everyone on our terrain, even including non-members of Scouting. This code describes agreements that ensure a socially safe environment.
We respect the nature present.
The campsite is quiet between 23:00 and 7:00.
All campers help to keep the toilet building and any other facilities clean. The camp staff draws up a schedule for this and provides cleaning supplies.
Music, smoking and limited alcohol consumption are only permitted on the camping field. Music may only be heard on your camping field.
Campers are not allowed to take photos or video recordings of other campers or our volunteers without explicit permission.
Extension cords that cross paths must be hung. (> 2.6 m)
It is not permitted to enter the premises outside the times agreed in writing.
Upon arrival, the responsible leader or contact person must report immediately to the camp staff.
When leaving, the group must ensure that the fields used, the fireplaces and the immediate vicinity are empty, that borrowed materials are returned to the camp staff and that waste is placed in the container before the responsible leader or contact person reports off.
Our subsoil means that vehicles and trailers can quickly cause damage.
Motor vehicles are not allowed on our premises. Parking at the Noordweg or at the Dobbeplas.
Cycling is not allowed on the campsite. You may walk with your bike in hand to drop off luggage. All bikes are parked in the bike shed.
Trailers are NOT allowed on the grounds. There is space to park two trailers at the entrance. Other trailers must be parked in the parking lot.
For the transport of luggage and materials on the terrain there are several carts and wheelbarrows available. These are immediately returned after use.
Make fire is only permitted for functional purposes, such as socialising or cooking.
Campfires are only allowed in the fire trays or on a fire table. Only clean and dry wood may be burned. Other materials are not allowed.
A bucket of water should be available at every open fire. You can borrow one from the camp staff.
Availability of firewood is not guaranteed. A maximum of one wheelbarrow of firewood may be taken per group per day.
In the event of an increased risk of forest fire, a ban on open fires (including barbecues) may be announced by the camp staff.
The dumpster is next to the camp staff building.
Only household residual waste is allowed. No chairs etc.
Please dispose of glass, paper, tins, etc. yourself.
Limit the amount and volume of waste as much as possible. Compact the waste.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed.
The earth wall around the Phoenix campfire circle is fragile and should not be climbed.
Chopping, sawing and cutting into trees and plants is not permitted.
The piles of branches are hedgerows and not firewood. The hedgerows provide shelter for birds and hedgehogs, among other things.
Digging is not allowed.
Aggregates and generators are not allowed.
In all cases not provided for in these camp rules, the camp staff will decide.
Instructions from the camp staff must always be followed immediately.
If the camp rules or the camp staff’s instructions are not followed, the camp staff has the authority to send persons or groups away from the premises.
